$ sudo depmod does nit report any errors.
I have problems with the new kernel images linux-image-2.6.31-15-generic andlinux-image-2.6.31-16-generic. When I tried to reconfigure them usimg $ sudo dpkg --configure <#>, I got "Failed to run depmod". Is there a possibility to reinstall dpkg and depmod without damaging the system too much?
@ Chris Johnston:
I'm sorry, I sent the bug report which was created by my system and my english is not good enough to translate it
