Ok, so after a discussion with Dan in IRC, we would need to know the result of the following commands sent directly to the AT port; you can do it with:
$> sudo minicom -D /dev/ttyUSB2
And then execute:
AT^U2DIAG?
and also:
AT^SETPORT?
Then, outside of minicom, also:
lsusb -v -d 12d1:1c05
