Update - the glitch appears to have gone, or more correctly moved.

I no longer see it at the left-side of my top monitor, but as it stands now a `chromium` window has the vertical glitch in it's top 2/5ths of bar. It won't stand out well in the attached picture (in real life it's dancing in time with the audacious music), but it behaves as it did in prior comments. If i pause music, the movement of the 'glitch' almost stops.

Having taken a screenshot of it & dragged windows around - I no longer know where the glitch is... It used to be always my top display bottom left edge, but now it's a window. I suspect now it's related to radeon drivers.
