The workaround (LIBGL_ALWAYS_INDIRECT=yes) works on ubuntu 10.04 (lucid) for my windows vista sp2 X server (XMing), as the log shows.

System is a fresh OVH installation, with xorg & glxgears just installed after apt-get update.
