Since this bug is "importance: Undecided" (and I found my bugreport to be incomplete):

I use Ubuntu only, both at work and home. Got Intel chipsets on my home computers and at work. About once a day, X crashes. When it does, X try to restart several times - but do eventually give up.

The only message logged is:
