The issue (which appears to be bug #84964 BTW) occurs
when trying to boot from the Herd 5 live CD, whether
32 or 64 bit. The PC has an up to date standard
install of 32 bit Edgy, so LILO is not involved.
One oddity tho': the udevd-event line only appears on
my secondary monitor. They usually display exactly
the same text until X starts.
