1) back-up data (of course...)
2) boot normally my 7.10 amd64 desktop with both disks in Raid1
3) do a live distribution update from Update Manager "New dist rel "8.04 LTS" is available" button
4) reboot after 8.04 upgrade
5) do a live distribution update from Update Manager "New dist rel "8.10" is available" button
6) reboot after 8.10 upgrade
7) do a grub-install /dev/md0 to update grub on both disks instead of grub-install /dev/sda + grub-install /dev/sdb as I did on 7.10
Thanks for answering Dustin, very fast as usual!
Just to make sure I get it correctly:
1) back-up data (of course...)
2) boot normally my 7.10 amd64 desktop with both disks in Raid1
3) do a live distribution update from Update Manager "New dist rel "8.04 LTS" is available" button
4) reboot after 8.04 upgrade
5) do a live distribution update from Update Manager "New dist rel "8.10" is available" button
6) reboot after 8.10 upgrade
7) do a grub-install /dev/md0 to update grub on both disks instead of grub-install /dev/sda + grub-install /dev/sdb as I did on 7.10
Correct?
