Comment 2 for bug 228067

I too get the same thing.
Occassionally, I can get lyx started by reinstalling it, but it still doesn't load any document.
When running empty, telling it to reconfigure yields a "Reconfiguration has failed" message,
with the only error indicated on the stderr output being "mktexmf ecrm1000" failing.
