Comment 2 for bug 907716

I was able to install a regular Ubuntu 11.10 on the first mentioned system without any problems.
Older Ubuntu versions also went without a glitch on systems with BSD partitions.

I don't mind doing a test reinstall of either Ubuntu 11.10 or Lubuntu 11.10 on the 2nd system,
but I'd need some guidance on where to look for logs or other things to report so others can fix the actual bug.
