Fixed, thanks, although I used a slightly different line in languagelist to match the usual format of that file:

Thai;1;th_TH.UTF-8;th_TH.UTF-8;th;TH;th_TH:th;kbd=th-tis(utf8)

localechooser (0.27ubuntu12) dapper; urgency=low

  * Update Portuguese translation from Rosetta.
  * Add Thai (thanks, Theppitak Karoonboonyanan; closes: Malone #35022).
  * Allow country selection for Catalan (thanks, Robert Millan; closes:
    Malone #37007).

I've just realised that "kbd=th-tis(utf8)". I know the format is not very obvious, but instead of "th-tis" there we're supposed to have the name of a console font, for example "tis-phaisarn.f16".

This means that I need some advice on what would be an appropriate default console font for Thai users. I had a look through the console fonts supplied in bug 35340: tis-phaisarn.f16 is the closest in appearance for ASCII characters to our regular console font, and so on the face of it seems like a good default choice, but I'm not well-placed to judge how readable its Thai glyphs are.

Could one of you let me know what I should do here? Thanks in advance.

th-phaisarn.f16 is also my font of choice. Let's use it as the default.

Thank you for handling the bug.

OK, thanks. Done.

localechooser (0.27ubuntu16) dapper; urgency=low

  * Set Thai console font to tis-phaisarn.f16 (closes: Malone #35022).
