Sparhawk, in addition to providing information from https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/995743/comments/2 , could you please execute your workaround at the Terminal:
sudo su -l
echo 1 > /sys/bus/pci/rescan

Then, execute the following at the Terminal and attach the result to this report:
lspci -vvnn
