Bug Description
I just did a normal update using update manager. When i boot i get two option for ubuntu. one for ubuntu 2.x.xx and one for 3..x.xx i.e two kernel (Can't recall the exact number). When i select 3.x.xx it didn't boot. And now update for kernel also failed.

It looks like the deb file is corrupt.
You may need to run the following:
sudo apt-get install -f
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update
Then re-install the package.
