Bug Description
I got a kernel panic running the 12.04 live cd which came out yesterday. it dumps me to the console and says "panic occurred switching back to text console". I was able to complete a full installation via the alternate install iso, but once i boot the installed system i get the same panic. My caps lock key starts blinking when this happens....also, I was running 11.10 on this machine before, so it's a kernel regression. It's a Dell Studio XPS 1340.
I'm shocked something like this was able to get through for a polished release. I can't even do a fresh install.
