If you're experiencing this bug, the only solution is to find a torx T5, open the case, and disconnect the battery for a moment. This is a hardware problem more than it is a software problem.

You don't have to remove the battery. Just pull straight up on the connector to the mainboard. There's a helpful little black pull tab for this.
