Some more tests:

1) kernels 3.3.2-1.fc1{6,7}.x86_64 from Koji have exactly the same problem.

2) With 3.4.0-0.rc2.git3.1.fc18.x86_64 I get no crash of e.g. pidgin,
   but a hang, and this stuff in the dmesg
