Comment 5 for bug 937378

Same issue here, I noticed that power consumption decreased after updating to 3.2.0-17-generic and wondered if RC6 had been enabled by default. A hard shutdown this morning made me do some searching to find out that it had in fact been enabled. I'm on an Asus UX31 and have seen this behaviour since I got it (frequent hard shutdowns with RC6 enabled). Let me know if I can provide any additional debugging info.
