Bug Description

Usually I was printing dvi files created from tex files on one of hp printers (1200 or 2200dn) via usb cable, but after recent upgrade to ubuntu 11.10 a month ago, both printers does not show any reaction. Print jobs are spooled regularly, but after that nothing happens. No paper is comming out from printer.

You are using kernel 3.0.0-12. This kernel is known to have broken USB printing. Please do a full system update and after that reboot your system (to actually run the kernel which will come with the updates, 3.0.0-13 or newer). The update will also include a new CUPS package with additional USB printing fixes.
