Hi James/Christophe,

Just a quick note to tell you that I've got some progress on my computer at least. I have a HP Pavilion G6, just upgraded to Ubuntu 12.04. Now the Bluetooth icon shows for me immediately during bootup, w00t!

Now I only need to run the bcmfwup.py routine to get the telephony to work through it. Maybe one day in the future that will be unnecessary too!
