USB scanner doesn't work when connected to the USB 3.0 port

Bug Description

My scanner Canon Lide 25 is not detected when I connect it via usb 3.0 (via usb 2.0 everything works just fine).
I get the following output in my syslog:

It doesn't work with upstream kernel either.

Lukasz Olszewski, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. As per upstream, the next step is to test against newest kernel and, if reproducible, post the results to <email address hidden> for analysis.
