Tested the image from comment #58 on a Lenovo E525 and it is working.
Installation:
 - Install stock Oneiric image from USB stick
 - Hit "esc" and then "F6" and select all extras options
 - VT will be shown, run "apt-get update" and "apt-get install fglrx" and finally "startx"
 - This should bring you to the livecd desktop and start the install
Install the new kernel:
 - After installation, reboot and add "xforcevesa nomodeset" to kernel options (might have to do this twice)
 - Hit "Ctrl + F1" to access a VT, wget image deb or install off local media
 - Reboot, system now can go to desktop normally

Jesse, please make 32-bit .debs as well when you generate the fixes. We will need this for our certified system testing.
