Bug Description

On shutdown/restart, after showing the exit-plymouth animation, it goes to text mode, and outputs some info, a stack trace, and stating that it in fact is a bug. I am not sure how to get the log, because i searched through everything in /var/log and found nothing like the text that was output. After showing the information, everything locks up, and the computer does not shut down/restart. Attached a picture of the screen to show how it looks when it has printed the oops message. Sorry for the poor quality.

If you give me a hint on how to retrieve the log, I can append it to the bug report.

I think it must be a driver issue, because it started happening after buying new motherboard, cpu:
Intel® Core i7-2600K Processor
ASUS P8Z68-V PRO, Socket-1155

This bug is a frequent one that I see occurring on UEFI systems (including my brother's i5-2500/Asus P8P67 LE setup) - I think it is caused by firmware shipped by the manufacturer that does not follow UEFI specifications for reboot/suspend/hibernate.

I believe this to be a duplicate of bug #721576 due to the fact we get very similar kernel oops errors, so I will mark it as such.

Many thanks,
Timothy
