System freeze when attempting to "safely remove" and external USB hard drive using Nautilus Desktop right click menu

Bug Description

1. This bug is repeatable on my laptop. The system freezes whenever I attempt to right click and use select safely remove
2. The caps lock LED blinks when the system freezes
3. The same external hard drive can be safely removed using "Disk Utility" under Administration without any problem
4. This problem did not exist before updating to linux-image-2.6.32-33-generic

Hello.

I had same issue just after updating to linux-image-2.6.32-33-generic.

Tested with few external HDD, same effect.

Rollback to 2.6.32-32, HDD "safely remove" works fine.
