Bug Description

Bluetooth applet is currently shown although the system does not contain a bluetooth card.. The applet is grayed out and bt-prefs only shows a large "Turn on Bluetooth" button. The bluetooth module is loaded.

Unless I've missed something obvious there does not appear to be a bluetooth device in this machine

Its hard for me to tell without opening the system. If that is the case then the bug is not that bluetooth is nonfunctional, its that the bluetooth applet is being show when it shouldn't be.

Nothing in lsusb, lspci, nor dmesg. I believe we've seen this in the past where the icon will be erroneously displayed.

Marc -- If you could take a look at the BIOS and/or physically inspect the machine (hardware switches, etc) that would be quite helpful to see if this machine does indeed have a bluetooth device installed.

Chris -- I don't seen anything in bios related to bt or any switches. Taking apart the laptop, I only see the intel wifi and ericson wan cards.
