Bug Description

I get a kernel panic at least once a week with new Ordi Enduro 4565T and Ubuntu 11.04. With 10.04 this didn't happen.
We have several laptops like this and all tested ones panic with same message when they are running latest Ubuntu (natty, 11.04). This laptop seems to be the same as Clevo's W765TH.

I've included image from screen when kernel panic occures. Although this one doesn't have exacly same messages as the latest panics show (for example BUG: Scheduling while atomic isn't there). Those images might be on N8, so I'll post them later.

Here is the promised image (was still on camera not on N8). Show different info than the other image but I don't know what the difference is.

I've run Linux 2.6.39.1 for a week now and I haven't experienced a single panic so it seems that the problem is fixed in 2.6.39 or it's due to some patch in Natty's kernel.

Tomin, thank you for reporting this bug and helping make Ubuntu better. This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please provide information following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/DebuggingSchedulingWhileAtomic ? As well, can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ .

If it remains an issue, could you run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal). It will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report.

apport-collect -p linux <replace-with-bug-number>

Also, if you could test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text.

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.

Please let us know your results. Thanks in advance.

This has never been an issue in Oneiric and Precise. I don't know, if it still happens in Natty, because it's outdated (it's no longer in use). Feel free to mark this to something that means that this bug is not relevant anymore.
