Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick use kernel 2.6.35 while the driver from 3DSP is for Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid i386/amd64 with kernel 2.6.32.
Your options are either of:
1. If it works, then use the driver with the older kernel 2.6.32 (from the older Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid) running with the newer Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick system.
2. Port the driver source-code of kernel 2.6.32 to the newer kernel of Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick.
