I just ran the Try Ubuntu alternative from the CD, to see if I would like Unity.
But the graphics in the menus and the toolbar is distorted, and the screen has been flickering on and off.
There is no hardware error I'm aware of, and I had no graphical error when I tried the same thing with Ubuntu 10.04.
