I see this problem appear under both kernels: after a suspend, pad is unresponsive and I need to rmmod psmouse; modprobe psmouse to reenable it.
I'll be attaching apport information as it seems I'm now the sole tester for this problem :) and to be complete, we're observing it also on a Studio XPS 1340. Looking at dmesg it appear to have the same Synaptics touchpad as the Vostro V13 (though I haven't looked at other Dells we have to determine if the same touchpad is working on *different* systems).
Hi Joseph,
I tried this "daily" 3.1 kernel: kernel. ubuntu. com/~kernel- ppa/mainline/ daily/2011- 10-21-oneiric/
http://
and this release candidate kernel (3.1.0-rc10): kernel. ubuntu. com/~kernel- ppa/mainline/ v3.1-rc10- oneiric/
