2.6.38-10-generic #46-Ubuntu SMP Tue Jun 28 15:07:17 UTC 2011 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2820QM CPU @ 2.30GHz.

The problem (blank screen/full fan on resume) does not reproduce if I boot in recovery mode - then I can suspend-resume no problem.

When I resume not in suspend but without GUI I see kernel panic in one of the functions called from the "smp_apic_timer_interrupt".

Tell me if I can help more.
