Ubuntu 10.10 complete system freeze on an Asus EeePc 1005PE

Bug Description
The system freezes completely when I`m doing simple thing like browsing with Firefox. There`s not any apparent reason. The video freezes while both keyboard and mouse become irresponsible. Killing X server (Ctrl+Alt+
I think this is a regression bug because on Ubuntu 10.04 I didn`t have this problem. It usually happens after 1 hour of use.

I`ve upgraded the BIOS to the last version using the ASUS utility on Windows but the problem remains.

I didn't have this problem with 10.10 but I have it with 11.04 with all the latest updates.
