@David. Well, it didn't worked. Here I have the link to a parallel discussion on ubuntu forums, in order to try and solve this.

There is the list of errors I get, perhaps I made a mistake at prematurely upgrading, just thought it would be solved by beta 1, hope it's useful to work with it.

By the way, on this kernel, the file etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf does not exist. I'm still trying to find out where is it now, or how it's named.
