Same problem on SONY VAIO VPCS12C5E, running Ubuntu Lucid Lynx 10.04 with 2.6.38-7-generic-pae (Natty kernel I think). My CPU is i5-450M, and I also have a dual graphic (NVidia 310M + integrated Intel).

A question: doing the workaround I'll simply remove that message or I'll improve my system? I didn't fully understood.. :)
