Same here with latest Maverick Netbook Edition with all updates from repositories on HP Pavilion dm1-1020ed. Problems started after upgrade to Maverick beta (under 10.04 I had no problems at all). Loading a test page showed a download speed of max 24 KiB/s.

I don't know what causes it and so I cannot attach this report to any package. Browsing the Internet I read about problems in kernel driver, network-manager and DNS.

In my case both Firefox and Evolution are slow. URL lookup in Firefox seems reasonably fast, but loading the page takes minutes instead of seconds (which votes against DNS?). However, some pages (e.g. Google) seem to load at normal speed. Loading video (e.g. TED.com) is so slow, it's not usable.

ifconfig:

from kern.log:
eth1: Broadcom BCM4315 802.11 Hybrid Wireless Controller 5.60.48.36
eth1: no IPv6 routers present

Unity/Mutter is still buggy as hell, so I have difficulty to get to the tools I need (like even an X-terminal) for further details.

Anyway, let me know what info you need, and I'll try to provide it.
