Comment 25 for bug 624510

I have the same or similar problem with my MSI G41M4-F motherboard while running Lucid 10.04 I get slow usb copy speed to external hard drive around 3.5 MB/s (thats megabytes per sec). However, running Oneiric 11.10 on same hardware with same USB drive I get good copy speed around 33 MB/s which is almost 10 time faster and what one might expect for a USB 2.0 connection.
