I think (at least from my observations) that these messages (both "gain calibration timeout" and "noise floor calibration timeout" appear when the electricity goes off. I do not know how this differs from simply plugging the power cord off, but plugging off does not reproduce the problem. Maybe the wireless AP also has to be plugged off in the same moment for thus error to occur.
