I've had frequent "gain calibration timeout" messages and cpu frequency mismanagement (I thought so)..

the problem seems to be easier after I removed a carpet of dust from the ventilation output :)

i.e. "gain calibration timeout" after that happened just once (in ~3 days), and cpu frequency scaling works like expected.
