I'm afraid that didn't work. I pulled the repo with
 git clone git://anongit.freedesktop.org/~ickle/linux-2.6

but that resulted in a 2.6.32-rc2 kernel (which wouldn't boot with xforcevesa i915.modeset=0 single. How do I get the source of that overlay?
