Thank you for reporting this bug and helping to improve Ubuntu. Could you please input 'lspci | grep VGA' in the terminal and paste the output here. Also, does this always happen with flash, does it only happen on pages with flash or does it happen other times as well.

00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series
Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 07)
I have not run 10.10 on my main machine since the problems but have it
on a secondary old tower networked through the main machine . Spent
last night trying to narrow this down .
Problems generally occur when I go to the BBC site on Firefox main
page ---------------if the videos play they generally stop after 20
seconds . When the system locks up everything stops and the only way
out is a forced shut down .
This has also occurred on the Reuters news site .
On the reuters site I have had the scroll and cap lock lights flash on
the keyboard at lockup .
I normally run No Script but the problem happens whether it is running or not .
I have also had lockup while trying to restart firefox after turning
on and off the Noscript

If I FIRST use other video sites such as Democracy Now or Link TV and
then go back to BBC then the video seems to work fine . If I start
with BBC however , the video will not work .
I will spend more time on the 10.10 in the next while and see if I can
come up with more info for you .

I reloaded 10.10 onto an old secondary computer a few weeks after
writing the report but haven't had any problems like originally stated
 since that time
Have loaded all updates ----------everything seems fine
Appears to be resolved
Thanks for the reply-----Ron
