After you marked it as incomplete, I added a comment with all the information you asked for. Why did you mark it expired? I tested yet again today with the latest kernel in Lucid (2.6.32-24-generic #39-Ubuntu SMP) and it still has the same problem. Here is the info from /var/log/syslog.
