Comment 5 for bug 575000

I'm experiencing this problem in Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic) on a Gateway M-1615, but I've only started experiencing it recently. I was able to use my webcam in March without it interfering with my wireless usage. I didn't try using the webcam again until today.

Today, when I attempt to use cheese (my usual webcam program), I get a test-pattern. The webcam at /dev/video0 is greyed out when I try to select it in preferences, and my wireless connection is disconnected and won't reconnect unless I reboot.
