I have been trying a lot of different settings as described in above bug reports, but nothing works for me.
My laptop: MEDION® AKOYA® P6624 (MD 98390) http://aldi.medion.com/md98390/au/
I am only using the Intel graphics driver. Because I have been trying a lot of settings, X didn't start anymore. Removing the nvidia drivers (nvidia/nouveau) solved it.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Try to change the screen resolution with Fn key combination
2. Try to use the brightness slider
3. Try to use xbacklight
Actual Results:
The Brightness does not change in any way.
Expected Results:
A gradual change in screen brightness should be the result of using at least
xbacklight.
