[Lucid] [EeePC 1005PE] Wi-Fi disable hotkey kills both Wi-Fi and ethernet

Not sure whether this relates to the kernel or another (which ?) networking or hotkeys management package...?
In Kubuntu Lucid Beta 1 plus all available updates on 10/04/07, in KDE, on Asus EeePC 1005PE.
Use of the Wi-Fi enable/disable HotKey [Fn]-[F2] not only works with Wi-Fi, but also enables/disables wired Ethernet at the same time, which I assume is not desired (and that I, at least, do not desire ;-)
Side note: on my system, none of the "eeepc-

I have the same problem on an Asus Eee PC 1005 HA with Ubuntu 10.4 Lucid Lynx beta 1
