Hi,

I can confirm the bug's presence in 12.04:

[ 444.916670] Either the lower file is not in a valid eCryptfs format, or the key could not be retrieved. Plaintext passthrough mode is not enabled; returning -EIO

and

cat: .ICEauthority: Input/Output error

Can't login to Xfce with this user.. :(
