There was no activity on this bug report for 2+ years, then a couple of recent comments. In all likelihood this should be closed as invalid - I will do that in about 2 weeks unless there are updates with new information.

The type of information required: What release are you running? Are all updates applied? Is the sony-laptop module installed (if applicable - it may have been superseded by recent kernel updates)?
