Comment 3 for bug 505669

I went back into Update manager this weekend. The Upgrade manager said that 9.10 was available, so thought that if it was completepackage it would get past this issue. in running the 9.10 upgrade i received the same issue with "linux-image-2.6.28-17-generic" Sub process post-instilation exit status 1 error.

it seems like this package has a bad image on the central server.
