Same here, after upgrade from karmic to Lucid (final).
initramfs-tools is up to date, UUID from /etc/fstab == /etc/initramfs-tools/conf.d/resume, but still not resuming... always normal boot.
I will try Mbarak solution since I do not have the /bin/resume file. (Isn't ln -s better?)
How can I collect more info? Since it is not fixed for updates from karmic...
