Bug Description

I'm running 9.10 32-bit version CD Live on a Thinkpad T43. When I bring up the System Test, a red icon appears on the top tool bar about a Kernel error. I was the prompted to report it. I had rebooted the system, brought up System Test and the error was reproducible.

Hi David,

Does the error appear if you don't try to run the System Test? If not, which test(s) did you run that triggered the bug to be reported? Its seems there may have been a kernel oops detected, but unfortunately I'm not seeing it in your BootDmesg.txt nor your CurrentDmesg.txt. The only slightly related error I notice is the following which is just a harmless warning.

[ 2645.944344] thinkpad_acpi: deprecated sysfs attribute: access by process with PID 4029
[ 2645.944348] thinkpad_acpi: WARNING: sysfs attribute hotkey_enable is deprecated and will be removed. Hotkey reporting is always enabled

Thanks for your e-mail.

Yes, after booting from the LIVE CD, when trying to run the System
Test, the error appears. It does this before any of the suite of
System Tests are actually run.

If you wish, I could video record the screen that details when the
error occurs. Please let me know, as I am happy to help out.

Best regards,
