I installed linux kernel 2.6.34-999 from the Mainline Builds. The machine came up fine, but "Suspend" worked even more poorly. The system sat with a blinking cursor and never turned off. I had to poke it in the eye.

With the current kernel, the system turns off video, then a few minutes later the system goes into suspend mode (flashing power button). It just never quite comes up when I press the button to Resume.
