Before the fix:

Forums are full of posts from people who cannot get at ther smartreaders, an I can imagine lots of people think their stuff is broken and are sending them back to sellers by the truckload. Given the bazillions of VIDs/PIDs the ftdi_sio module serves (.lots. of hardware, including PC/SC smartcard authentication stuff!), could someone .please. upgrade the priority of this fix? Many, many thanks in advance!
