I subscribed to this bugreport as I've a Webcam Microsoft VX1000 which
doesn't work I get only a green screen when testing in Cheese or Skype.
I'm quiet new to ubuntu and I don't know where to start solving this

When researching the problem I read about the kernel as a possible
solution.
May you could give me a advise where to start.
My solution was to buy a logitech 200 webam worked out of the box but I
would like to make the Microsoft VX1000 work too.
