I am having the same issue with Lucid on an Acer Aspire 5310 laptop. Closing the lid to put the computer into suspend, most of the time (seems to be if it has been suspended for a long time, though that could be a coincidence). The computer begins to resume, and then everything freezes and I need to hold the power button in.
